COURSE DESCRIPTION
Presentation of the formation of liturgical practice and of the monuments of the discourse and work of the Church.
Worship expresses the deepest self of the Church and the outstanding means of shaping its faith, ethos, and its life as a whole. In worship, the faithful find the true meaning of the moral life, which is not formed through some kind of legalistic relationship with God, but through our transfiguration and renewal in Christ.
The Christian ethos is liturgical and springs from our personal relationship with the Lord of the Church, who offered Himself ‘for the nourishment of the whole world’.
The worship of the Church gives the prospect of Christocentric meaning to our life and existence, as people and as a society.
It does not provide some sort of code of morality or social behavior, but a life of reciprocal communion with the Triune God.
